Prompt #47: Summer.

Ryan is crying when he comes and Brendon doesn’t quite know what to do with that, so he just leaves it alone.

I believed in beauty above everything else, even when I had to lose everything else to obtain it.

And we can dance, just the two of us, and the music is falling heavy like snow on our shoulders.

I'm not having that much fun or creativity with the six word stories. I'm going to keep doing them, but I'm also going to do "one sentence stories". I'm going to try and tell a story in a sentence. It could be a long sentence. No word limit.

I desperately want to write something beautiful. Right now I feel stuck. I can find the story. The words, they come. For awhile. Then they stop. Take a smoke break or a vacation to the Bahamas. I’m left with something half-finished. I’m left with blank paper. I’m left with this . . . Emptiness. It needs to be finished, completed. But the words are on a fucking holiday.

I wouldn't ban any books. But there are certain books I don't feel need a spot in a high school library. Such as erotica. I don't think it has a place on high school library shelves.

I am personally against the banning of books.

I got a ticket today. Because I "didn't stop at a stop sign".

Except, that I did. I put my foot on the break, stopped. I looked left to to right and to left one more time. I saw the police car, noted that it was over half a block away and pressed on the gas. I easily made it to the other side of the street without speeding.

But the guy does a U-Turn, pulls me over, and writes me a ticket.

For stopping.

On a weekly average, I stop at the particular intersection 15 times a week. (3 times a day.) And I usually have to wait for a car or two to pass me before I can go because it's a two-way stop.

And, yes, it probably would have been prudent to let the police officer go first. But I really didn't think I'd get a ticket for not doing anything wrong or illegal.

Initially, I thought it was for my seat belt because I always wear it, but I wear the shoulder belt behind my head most of the time because it rubs my neck raw.

I live in Texas, so we either pay the ticket, go to court and fight it, or take a driver's safety course. I don't really want to pay 200 dollars for something I didn't do, so I called my mom to see if there was even a point in going to "court".

She said yes, that half the time the police officer doesn't even show up for a minor infraction and if that happens, they throw the ticket out. And she said even if they don't find you "not guilty" you don't have to pay any extra.

So I'm going to be doing that.

Don't pretend. You never loved me.

Am I innocent? Or am I tarnished? Am I innocent because I believe in beautiful things and move forward and faith and trust that good things happen and believe that, always, there can be a happy ending? Because it's it's not okay, it's not the end. Or am I not allowed to be innocent because I'm not a virgin and I smoke and I love to talk about sex and I have self-inflicted scars and I've seen so many ugly things? Some days I feel so pure, newborn, like a seed freshly planted in warm dirt. And some days I feel like a red flower, half wilted, dropping it's petals for anyone who asks. I like to believe I'm innocent. That, despite seeing so much horror and so much ugly, I can still retain the belief in goodness and purity.

But I don't really know what the definition of innocence is. And I'm not sure I fit the mold.

The nice lady at the dentist off told me about this place that arranges amazing payment plans. Unfortunately, I've misplaced my license. And I have to get this form notarized, mail it to Nebraska, and then wait for them to send me a new license. Fucking sucks.

So if you know any other toothache remedies besides the ones I've mentioned and that clay stuff that you use with a filling falls out, let me know. I'm kind of desperate.

20 movies (in no particular order) I think everyone should see. Or at least, all girls should see. Not all of these movies are necessarily "girl" movies, but a few of them might not hold the same meaning for guys.

I tried to stay away from the obvious classics, like The Wizard of Oz and whatnot.

1. Ponyo.
It's adorable, but there's still danger. It's rated G, but it manages to tackle dangerous subjects without a higher rating.

2. The Breakfast Club.
It's a classic and it shows how everyone has problems.

3. V for Vendetta.
It shows the amount of strength one person can have and how one person can give other people strength. It's beyond brilliant.

4. Saved!
I think this movie shows the two sides of Christianity and can open people's eyes to the way God [i]really want us to act.</i>

5. Couples Retreat.
I know it seems like a weird movie to be on this list, but if you see it you'd understand. It shows love in various stages with various problems.

6. Sandlot.
This movie is just a classic movie about boys growing up and I think it's hilarious.

7. The Labyrinth.
It's beautiful and fun.

8. Accepted.
I think this movie is really about how people actually want to learn, but it's not fun and how people with a common goal can come together and create something amazing that other people want to be a part of.

9. Juno.
This is one of the greatest movies of all time. Drama, comedy, pain, truth. Life.

10. Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
It's hilarious. Watch it.

11. Mean Girls.
This movie rings true for pretty much any girl that has gone to high school.

12. Thirteen.
This movie shows two girls with problems and how negative relationships can change the rest of our lives. It doesn't shy away from such awful subjects.

13. Enchanted.
I think this turns the fairy tale bullshit on it's head. You can have a fairy tale in real life, but be yourself in the process.

14. Mary Poppins.
It's just great. A classic. Always makes me cry.

15. The New Guy.
Another movie about the truth of high school. Hilarious.

16. Forrest Gump.
I think this is one of the greatest movies of all time.

17. White Oleander.
This movie shows a girl's changes in her life after he mother goes to prison due to whichever foster parent she's staying with at the moment. And it shows the way her mother poisons her with manipulation.

18. Love Actually.
I think this movie shows love the way it actually is and how powerful it can be.

19. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
This is the newer version. And I think Tim Burton did a great job executing it. He changed parts of the original movie, kept things from the book that weren't in the original movie, tacked in a few original things, but kept the spirit alive.

20. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
This is the original and it's almost as good as the new one.
